I enjoy staying at newer hotels because its clean....I WISH that all hotels would wash the comforters everyday though

I have stayed over 80 nights of hotels in the last 12 months, portion of it was in Holiday Inn. This stay was pleasant at first, then there was no hot water in the morning. I took my shower in less than 1 min, Upon checking out, the front desk told me the broiler was not working and the manager would do something to make up. I waited for over 30 days, and heard nothing back. Is this the same kind of service a Platinum customer deserved? Anything would fail, that is not unusual, how the manager manages the situation makes a whole of difference. Someone was trying to sweep things under the carpet. There are many other choices.

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room, travelling with our children we usually expect to be extremely cramped.
The pool area was clean, but the water was not warm, and there were no towels available (we had to ask the front desk to restock)
The breakfast in the morning was the low point of the stay. The food quality was not great, and there was little variety of choice, Some equipment (the pancake maker) was non functional, and simple elements (like hot water for tea) were not available. There was only one person stocking the breakfast and in the 45 minutes we were in the restaurant we only saw them come out once.
