I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels and the breakfast and this location is definitely top tier. Everything was hot and fresh, and kept up to level. The staff was ultra friendly and helpful. Provided excellent service, definitely staying here again.

Four major issues:
1) We arrived late due to a torrential rainstorm and we were “greeted” by the night clerk. We know she was the night-clerk because she appeared to be coming on duty and was just departing when we came down in the morning. This desk attendant was completely unhelpful and rude. She ignored us, and when we commented on the weather replied – “Yeh, it is either hot or very rainy here”. Later when we tried to buy food from the canteen, we had trouble getting her to break away from a conversation with another employee who appeared to be going off duty to come to the window. I stay at a lot of hotels but this was an all time low.
2) The breakfast was horrible despite the snazzy marketing posters. There was a gravy to put over the biscuits with clumps of grease floating on the surface and the egg “omelet” looked inedible. The machine produced pancakes were okay but not great. On this trip we stayed in competitive hotels in the same bracket as Holiday Inn Express and their food was notably better.
3) This hotel lacked adequate sound proofing so the truck noise from the adjacent expressway was loud in our room
4) The location of this hotel was inconvenient. It is located right next to the expressway but you have to travel a considerable distance down circuitous back streets to find it. Misleading.
And one minor issue – we had to ask for our bill in the morning when typically it is pushed under the door during the night.
On the positive side, the hotel is new so everything worked.
